Kurohyou Katana featuring an Unokubi-zukuri style geometry, there are two bohi (grooves), and about 1/3 up the blade, the geometry changes into a diamond cross section. The combination of the grooves and diamond cross section gives an exceptionally light sword. extremely tough blade will not easily bend or take a set due to the superior heat treatment of the steel. This is a unique katana with rarely seen geometry, extreme light weight and great handling.

- Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from hand forged 1095 high carbon steel with clay temper hamon in a Maru Lamination with real yokote.
- The blade comes full tang and Razor Sharp.
- Saya: Black Ishime,The Koi-guchi has been reinforced with Buffalo horn.
- Tsuba: The Tsuba begins with a one piece brass construction Habaki. Two brass Seppas secure the blade of the sword. The Tsuba is Alloy.
- Tsuka: The Fuchi is blackened brass with genuine Same (ray skin) and blue navy shynthetic silk Ito Tsukamaki use hishigami. Two Bamboo Mekugi secure the tang of the sword into the Tsuka, while bright copper Menuki decorate each side of the Tsuka.
