Handcrafted sword with fittings from brass and alloy. The blade is forge folded by hand l to create thousands of layers of steel that is brought out by painstakingly hand polishing the blade. The saya features a Ishime with all buffalo horn fittings. This sword is ready to be used to cut tatami.

Features

Blade: The blade of the sword has been forged and folded through hardened using carbon steel in a Maru lamination with real yokote.
Saya: The saya of the sword is wooden with a Ishime finish , bull horn element . The sageo is shigeuchi and tied over brass shitodome.
Koshirae: The habaki is made of brass . The tsuba is alloy .
The tsuka has genuine white samegawa ray skin with black cotton which is tied in hineri-maki and double pegged with smoked bamboo.

This intricately hand-crafted Shakkyo Wakizashi. Hand forged and folded using T10 tool steel and 1045 steel with 3456 layers this katana is forged using the traditional Japanese method of Sanmai-kitae. This method uses a hard steel core in a soft steel jacket to improve overall shock absorption while cutting through hard materials. The handle is ray skin wrapped in traditional brown leather cord use hishigami. It also features a brass tsuba with gold plating, fuchi and kashira.

Hand forged and folded steel blade made of 1060 high carbon steel . The blade is completely polished and sharpened in traditonal way. A simple, sleek and clean Tsurugi sword presented in Shirasaya. Essentially a straight, Japanese double edged sword. The weapon’s blade is perfectly balanced and makes a versatile cutting and thrusting combat sword. The folded steel patern sword blade is forged into a unique 8-sided octahedral shape. This shape provides additional strength to the blade, which is a great advantage for double edge sword blades. Designed to be a fully functional katana for cutting practice, The Mokko gata style aloy tsuba. Using Maru kitae hand forged technique with T10 tool steel the result is a beautiful and resilient blade with Gunome style hamon pattern. A unique feature is the integrated Bo-Hi on the blade with O-Kisaki. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to help reduce the weight of the katana, Making the Katana lighter enables the user to wield the katana better and advanced cutting techniques that requires the katana to change direction rapidly.

Kurohyou Katana

Kurohyou Katana featuring an Unokubi-zukuri style geometry, there are two bohi (grooves), and about 1/3 up the blade, the geometry changes into a diamond cross section. The combination of the grooves and diamond cross section gives an exceptionally light sword. extremely tough blade will not easily bend or take a set due to the superior heat treatment of the steel. This is a unique katana with rarely seen geometry, extreme light weight and great handling.

Saya: Black Ishime,The Koi-guchi has been reinforced with Buffalo horn.
Tsuba: The Tsuba begins with a one piece brass construction Habaki. Two brass Seppas secure the blade of the sword. The Tsuba is Alloy.
Tsuka: The Fuchi is blackened brass with genuine Same (ray skin) and blue navy shynthetic silk Ito Tsukamaki use hishigami. Two Bamboo Mekugi secure the tang of the sword into the Tsuka, while bright copper Menuki decorate each side of the Tsuka.

The blade is made of T10 Tool steel and features a choji hamon pattern with light niku. The extended chu-kissaki or medium length tip is nicely polished. The tsuka or handle is single mekugi pinned and rayskin panels and is wrapped with dark blue navy synthetic silk fiber ito with brass menuki. Featuring fittings with solid blackened iron fuchi and kashira, a blackened iron Kiku style tsuba, and a red lacquered saya. This sword comes in a sword bag as well as a EIJI Forge certificate of authentification.

The result of the lamination is a sword with an extremely hard cutting edge, but still flexible.
